Brain-boosting food to support our 'second gut' – our brain

I'd like to share a little story about my son before his recent high school entrance exam. The day before he researched what to eat to help him to focus – I was so proud of him for taking this approach to support his body and brain to help him do well in his exam. He chose a nourishing breakfast of wholegrain oats with fresh fruit and packed nuts and seeds as exam snacks.

Here's are some tips to boost brains!Fuelling up for success Kids' food and drinks impact their well-being and learning, either empowering and energising or draining and stressing them. Food has the power to fuel our brains and impact performance Choose brain-boosting foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and proteins to enhance memory and concentration. Avoid processed foods that can hinder memory and mood and have a negative effect on performance. It's common for kids to resist the foods that are most beneficial for them. Educating kids on looking after their brain can make a positive impact.
